Having trouble with spam

Dear All,
Because of a ridiculous amount of spam that is coming in through this blog, I am considering what is best to do. Deleting spam is not something that I enjoy doing a LOT of. If anyone knows how to deal with this issue in Wordpress blogs, let me know. Until then, I think I’ll see if I can make this blog disallow comments altogether. If people wish to communicate, just send me an email. My email box has better spam filters. Thanks for understanding,
